Student Doctors
The practice is involved in the mentoring of medical students who may be involved in consultations. If you do not wish students to be present during your consultation please inform the reception staff.
Non-urgent advice: Home Visits
If your illness prevents you from attending the surgery, a home visit can be requested. Please try to contact us as early in the day as possible. The receptionist may ask for a few details to aid the doctor judge the urgency of the request.
Home visits take place between 13:00 – 14:30.
Not Registered for Online Services?
Non-urgent advice: Patient Transport - Hospital Appointments
Patients who are unable (because of infirmity or disability) to get to hospital appointments may be able to use the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service. This service is run by Arriva.
For details of eligibility and booking please ring the booking service on Telephone number: 0161 976 2555. You will need to be in possession of your NHS number to complete the booking.
Cancellations & Reminders
Non-urgent advice: Cancel an Appointment
It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.
You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.
Non-urgent advice: Late For Your Appointment
Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.
Non-urgent advice: Interpreter
If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.
